Ron Paul -- A "Churchill" Level Event?

by Perry Kundert last modified 2008-02-11 13:12

Ron Paul is surrounded by liars, miscreants, bankers, scoundrels, killers and thieves... http://www.nolanchart.com/article2651.html

Winston Churchill reports in his autobiography that, just before the second world war tore Europe and the rest of the world apart, it was fashionable for the "intelligensia" in Britain to wear Swastika jewelry.  Churchill was virtually universally despised for his continual warnings to prepare for war against Hitler and the Third Reich.  He was soundly rejected, again and again, in his attempts to mobilize Britain against the barbarous Nazi horde.

However, when the Anslusch began, and Poland and Austria fell, suddenly what was obvious only to Churchill became obvious to the remainder of the "civilized", "progressive", and "educated" world.  Hours before France fell, Chamberlain resigned, and Churchill was asked by King George VI be Prime Minister, and form an all-party government.

Ron Paul's continuous warnings about the looming failure of the US Federal Reserve banking system, and the implosion of the American Dollar (and hence the US middle class) are currently greeted with the same pompous disdain as Churchill's.  This doesn't make them any less true.

If -- and only if -- the US financial implosion occurs between now and the September 2008 Republican National Convention, will Ron Paul be nominated as the Republican presidential candidate.  If it occurs between September and November, then it may be interesting to see whether this economic catastrophe drives Americans toward Ron Paul, and the beginning of an era of more rational economics.  Just as 1940 forced the British to see the idiocy of Chamberlains appeasement of Germany, will 2008 be the year that Americans finally see the Federal Reserve as the snarling whelp of the international Central Banks that it truly is?  If so, it should also become clear that only Ron Paul had the foresight to see the disastrous course of Central Bank debasement.

America has no King -- but could they perhaps accomplish the appointment of Ron Paul as the head of their government through a "write-in" vote in the November Presidential elections?  Only time will tell.
